Superstitions and Ein Kang...

I just don't know why I figured this out, but anyway, I found it logical and interesting.

Chinese culture is quite funny sometimes. For example, you cannot left your plate dirty, or else your gf/bf's face will have pimples. Then you'll think, why is it like that ar? Ok, the story goes like this...

Dad: Eh, finish your rice, don't waste...
Child: Left a little bit only ma, never mind one la...
Dad: Eh, you know last time your grandfather was a farmer?
Child: Yes, so?
Dad: Every bit of rice is the effort from your grandfather you know?
Child: Ya, so?
Dad: (like that still don't understand ar? swt) So, you must appreciate them and eat all of them...
Child: Yeah, so, what's the point?
Dad: Finish your plate!!!
Child: Don't want... *giggle*
Dad: *faint* *change topic* eh, you got gf or not?
Child: *giggle*
Dad: Aiya, that means you have la...
Child: *giggle*
Dad: So, do you know that every rice on the plate you don't finish will eventually become pimples on your gf's face? *ein kang*
Child: Ahhhhh......No....... Ok ok, I'll finish them all now!

So, you got my idea?

There's a questions for you to ponder:
1. How long has the "thing"(rice and pimples superstitions) has been?

So, it has been very long edi right?

In conclusion, Ein Kang is exist since a very long time ago. I'm so proud to master it(an ancient tradition)!

Transformed by troubles

It's not that my friends don't know myself well, it is me that who don't understand myself well. I thank God for giving me a good friend or two, who understands me better than myself.


Seriously, I don't know a lot of things. I don't know why I'm in INTI, I sometimes forget why I serve, I'm not really sure with my choices and preference, I'm not very sure of what am I doing and I'm not very sure of myself.

These good friends helped me a lot, to help me to know myself, but not everything of myself. I'm glad that I grow and learn a lot from them. In this period of time, I guess they are those who support me and help me.

I would like to shout "THANK GOD" on the top of the mountain, because he've given me them.

After the first semester, I thought that it would be easier, but no, not at all... It would be a lot tougher. Because of the credits hour, the subjects, the changes, and also BB stuff. May God empower me, guide me and strengthen me in this very tough period. =)

God's plan is always good, we must rejoice and give thanks always, and of course, we must refuse to give up!

Ive been living the lies for too long

Someone is praying for me

I feel that there's someone who is praying for me, and I'm really thankful for who you are, even I don't know who are you =) I'm blessed!

When I was form 1, I went to BNTS(leadership training camp organised by BB for those who don't know).

When I was form 2, I decided to become a spiritual leader instead of a strong leader.

When I was form 3, I went to ANTS and receive a lot of intensive training after that.

When I was form 4, I underwent a lot of conflicts with the others, and I grow through them.

When I was form 5, I joined BNTS camp helper team, and I learned a lot from Nam Hong Sir.

And now, I am still joining BNTS as a helper and still undergo a lot of conflicts.

I got a friend from Sibu, Bentucky(nickname), says that I'll become one of the PSC best leader one day. It was years ago, he said it before I'm a leader. I don't understand how and why, but there're a lot of challenging task ahead for me.

Through all these things, I found out that there's someone who is praying for me. If not, I won't get through all these. Since I don't know who he is, so I'll rather pray for someone else. :)

When I'm walking around the school to find the drill squad today, I see nothing, but heard the song sang by you guys loudly and clearly. Seriously, I couldn't really hold on my tears, I'm touched. Why I'm touched? It is because of a guy.

Today, I'm here talking about L/cpl Tong Soon Kai aka Side Sgt Tong Soon Kai... =)

So, who is he?

He's one of the best and legendary president ever. He is one of the president who was not in the EXCO a year before his presidency.


So, who is he to me? Soon Kai is actually a squad member of my squad in 2006. I know him at that time, and I only have one comment, SIAO KIA. He's the most passionate BB member I know at that time.

Soon Kai did disappoint me for quite a lot of times, but not anymore. When he was a member, who did all those siao stuff; when he grow older, he tried to avoid responsibilities.

As time goes by, he has proven himself well. Before AGM 2009, we interviewed him for the position Chairman. Surprisingly, he rejected. We tried to convince him and encourage him quite a lot, but not really successful. Last but not least, we prayed for him. For what people see, it may be a disaster to CLBU01, but finally we see that it's a blessing instead.

Promotion to L/cpl in October 2009, BB Sunday

Honestly, I wanted to surrender now. He actually did better than me. When I go back to CLBU01 for visitation, I can actually see the whole BB is more active and lively than in the past. The system is so strict and yet efficient than my time. Besides, the relationship between the members are quite close too, it's a good sign. We can see all these from the very recent sketch presented by the TIMPAH KIA in Enrolment Day 2010.

Soon Kai is now actually a senior NCO in NCO Council

As I see the progression of PSC Drill Competition Squad of our company today, I was shocked, they improved so fast. If it's not God who listen to our prayer, they/you wouldn't do it well. And of course, this incident also proven Soon Kai's leadership.

Soon Kai did not disappoint me anymore since 2009, as you guys know that my expectation is high. What he did is special, it's beyond my expectation, and I'll say I LOVE IT!

Dear Lcpl Tong Soon Kai,

Best Achiever of Enrolment Sunday 2010 =)

Please do not underestimate yourself, you are a humble and good leader. You lead by example, and you show your passion in every part of BB you serve. Together, we give you a salute! Although it's not suppose to be in Drill Manual, but this is exception for the sign of respect. :) Soon Kai is one of the best chairman in CLBU01 history!
